Donald Trump punched accuser E Jean Carroll after jury in a civil trial found he sexually abused the writer.
In a series of 10 posts posted in a tirade on the Truth Social platform Tuesday, the strangest of the former president’s complaints was that the jury had not been told the name of Carroll’s cat, Vagina T. Fireballl.
“The partisan judge and jury of the just concluded witch hunt trial should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for allowing such a travesty of justice to take place. The “Dress”, which played such an important role early on as a threatening bluff, but ended up totally exculpatory, was not allowed at trial as evidence. Neither the name of her cat, “Vagina”, the racist name with which she called her black husband of hers, “Ape”, she was caught in a lie about the political agent that she paid for this hoax! , and much more! she wrote, also referencing an argument Mrs. Carroll wrote about in one of her books, in which she said she called her husband a monkey.
In addition to ranting about what the jury was not told, Trump added: “I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHO THIS WOMAN IS. THIS VERDICT IS A DISGRACE – A CONTINUATION OF THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!”
A photo of Trump meeting with Carroll was shown during the trial.
The former president made a series of posts on the subject, protesting his innocence and questioning the testimony of Carroll, 79, who sued the former president for allegedly raping her in a dressing room at Manhattan’s Bergdorf Goodman department store in 1996, and then ” destroyed” his reputation when he claimed he was lying.
He added in the tirade, which also included video clips: “This Clinton-appointed justice, Lewis Kaplan, hated President Donald J. Trump more than humanly possible. He is a terrible person, completely biased, and he should have RECALLED himself when he was asked to. He quickly refused! This case should never have been allowed to be tried in this completely partisan venue, perhaps the worst for me in the Nation! The whole rigged hoax is another charade of justice, a continuation of the greatest political witch hunt of all time!
The jury did not find Trump responsible for raping Carroll.
In the courtroom, the clerk read the verdict: “Regarding the assault, did Ms. Carroll prove that Mr. Trump raped Ms. Carroll?” The jury answered “No”.
But the jury found that Trump most likely sexually abused Carroll and awarded him $2 million.

The jury also found Mr. Trump liable for the contempt of the wonton, for which Ms. Carroll received $20,000, according to City Center Press.
Trump was also found liable for defamation, as the jury found that he made false statements about Carroll.
The jury found that Trump acted with genuine malice and that Carroll was injured, for which she received $1 million. For repairing her reputation, Carroll received $1.7 million. In total, Ms. Carrol received $5 million.
Judge Lewis Kaplan told the jury, who remained anonymous, that they are allowed to speak about their experience and publicly identify themselves as part of the jury. But he also shared his advice, telling them not to make it public.
“Not now, and not for long,” he said, according to Law and Crime.
“I suggest that you do not identify yourselves,” he told the jury just before they left the courtroom, according to City Center Press.
Judge Kaplan also ordered the jury not to identify other members of the group.
As the verdict was read, Ms. Carroll sat emotionlessly in the front row with her attorneys Roberta Kaplan and Shawn Crowley.
She nodded as Judge Lewis Kaplan thanked the jury for paying close attention to the evidence, “even when it wasn’t fascinating.”
After the jury was brought out, he hugged Ms. Kaplan and Ms. Crowley. Defense attorney Joe Tacopina came over and shook his hand and said, “Congratulations and good luck.”
As she left court, Ms Carroll was heard saying “We are so happy.”
Trump’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, confirmed plans to appeal the guilty verdict, saying the access to hollywood The tape should not have been included in the trial. He added that Trump cannot have a fair trial in New York.
In a statement, the Trump 2024 campaign said: “The endless witch hunt for President Trump by the Democratic Party reached a new low today. In jurisdictions wholly controlled by the Democratic Party, our nation’s justice system is now compromised by far-left politics. We have allowed completely fabricated and false claims by troubled people to interfere with our elections, causing great harm.”
“Make no mistake, this whole bogus case is a political effort directed at President Trump because he is now a frontrunner to be elected President of the United States once again,” the campaign team added. “The continued abuse of our great Constitution for political gain is disgusting and cannot be tolerated. Our nation is in deep trouble when claims lacking evidence or eyewitnesses can invade our courts to score political points. Sadly, for the enemies of American freedom and democracy, President Trump will never stop fighting for the American people, no matter what the radical Democrats dream of next. This case will be appealed and we will finally win.”
Meanwhile, Geraldo Rivera said on Fox News: “It’s so redneck and partisan to suggest that a sexual assault finding is nothing. This is nothing”.
Lawyer and legal scholar John Turley added: “Any other candidate who faces this kind of verdict will probably never be seen again.”
Republican Senator John Cornyn told CBS News: “I don’t think [Mr Trump] can be chosen.”
Republican Sen. John Thune of South Dakota said: “It has a cumulative effect. People will have to decide if they want to deal with all the drama.”
Republican 2024 presidential candidate Asa Hutchinson, a former Arkansas governor, said in a statement that “over the course of my more than 25 years of courtroom experience, I have seen firsthand how a cavalier and arrogant disregard for the state of law can be counterproductive. . The jury’s verdict must be treated seriously and is yet another example of Donald Trump’s indefensible behavior.”
The jury heard graphic testimony from Carroll and two other women, Jessica Leeds and Natasha Stoynoff, who accused Trump of sexual assault.
Trump’s “grab ’em by the f****” comments on the access to hollywood the tape amounted to a “confession,” Carroll’s attorney, Roberta Kaplan, told the jury in closing statements Monday.
Ms Carroll “was exactly” Trump’s type and had sexually assaulted her in the same way he was caught describing his treatment of women on the infamous recording, Ms Kaplan added.
“In a real sense, Donald Trump is a witness against himself,” he said.
Mrs. Carroll, it’s been a long time elle magazine advice columnist, first revealed the details of the sexual assault in an excerpt from a book that was published in NY magazine in June 2019.
During three days of testimony, Carroll told jurors that she and Trump had joked after a chance meeting at Bergdorf Goodman one night in the mid-1990s.
But after taking an escalator to a deserted sixth floor to search for lingerie, Trump took her to a dressing room, pushed her against a wall and sexually assaulted her, she said.
“It was extremely painful,” Carroll told the jury. “He put his hand inside of me and curled his finger. As I sit here today, I can still feel it.”
Ms. Carroll added an assault charge under a recently adopted New York law that allows sexual assault survivors to sue their alleged attackers despite the statute of limitations.
She recounted how the traumatic experience had left her unable to pursue romantic relationships.
The writer said she would be inundated with a “wave of drool” on social media whenever Trump commented or posted about her allegations.
Because the case was tried in civilian court, the jury had to find that Ms. Carroll’s lawyers had proven that Trump was responsible for assault and defamation through a large body of evidence.
Leslie Lebowitz, a clinical psychologist, testified that Ms. Carroll suffered from symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and had a panic attack after being shown an episode of the reality show hosted by Trump. The newbie.
Carroll slept with a loaded gun in his cabin in upstate New York after receiving death threats from Trump supporters, Lebowitz testified.
Trump did not testify in the case, but the jury interpreted his statement as mistaking his second wife, Marla Maples, for Carroll.
