Audio obtained by vanity fair revealed that NBC News reporter Vaughn Hillyard lobbied Trump about the investigation.
Trump fumed, calling Hillyard “not a good guy” before telling his team to “get him out of here.”

Dr. Leslie Lebowitz, a clinical psychologist retained by Ms. Carroll’s legal team, testified that the former elle The columnist had gone to host a new TV show with a friend on an unidentified network when an executive showed them a clip from the reality series hosted by Trump.
“He got so flooded with memories, with a sense of panic, that he lost the ability to speak,” Dr. Lebowitz said. “The person he was with had to launch the show.”
Ms Carroll had previously testified that she was a “big fan” of The newbie, but I didn’t enjoy watching the conclusion where Trump fired the contestants.

Trump tells evangelical channel that the Bible is ‘even better’ than his own book
Donald Trump is clearly trying to bolster his support among evangelicals as he heads into the 2024 campaign season.
The president spoke April 24 with Victory Channel’s Gene Bailey at Mar-a-Lago. During the interview, he discussed his own Christian upbringing and stated that he regularly attended Sunday school.
He also joked that the Bible blew its own book, a picture coffee table book published after he left the White House, “out of the water,” a comment that drew praise from Bailey.
“I’m glad to hear you say that,” the right-wing host said reassuringly.

Expert asked about payment and evidence used in Depp v Heard 2022 trial
A Trump lawyer, Chad Seigel, asked Dr. Lebowitz to share her payment for her expertise.
She said it’s $600 an hour.
Seigel then moved on to the topic of “pretend” or lying.
He referenced a test known as the MMPI.
Dr. Lebowitz said that she does not use this method.
It is the same evidence that the expert hired by Johnny Depp used to try to discredit Amber Heard in the defamation trial between the former couple last year.

“I think he is an extremely resilient person”
When asked if everyone responds to trauma in the same way, Dr. Lebowitz said, “absolutely not.”
Speaking about Ms Carroll not using the words “rape victim”, the psychology expert said: “Carroll, like most of us, doesn’t want to be a victim, she doesn’t want to be pitied.”
Dr. Lebowitz said that Ms. Carroll, more than others, wants to be perceived as giving advice to others.
“Stiff upper lip: take action and leave it behind,” said Dr. Lebowitz, according to Law and Crime.
“I think if you ask him what he thinks is true, he would say ‘no, I don’t think a woman’” should be held responsible for being raped, Dr. Lebowitz said.
But your feelings on the subject may be different.
“This is how humans work,” he said.
“I think she’s an extremely resilient person,” he said of Ms. Carroll.
Speaking about Ms Carroll continuing to go to the Berghof Goodman where the alleged rape took place, Dr Lebowitz said: “She did not feel that Bergdorf Goodman raped her. She didn’t blame the store. She blamed herself.”
The psychology expert went on to say that Ms. Carroll observed The newbiewhich was introduced by Mr. Trump, because she did not want her professional life to be affected.
“Not seeing The Apprentice in his social and professional circle at that time would stand out,” he said.

A psychology expert says it’s “incredibly common for people to feel like it’s their fault”
Ms. Carroll’s lawyer asked Dr. Lebowitz: “Ms. Carroll thought she was dead but she was still alive. You understand?”
“This is common among rape survivors,” said the expert, according to City Center Press.
“What does the phrase self-blame mean?” asked the lawyer.
“In sexual assaults, it’s incredibly common for people to feel like it’s their fault. One of the reasons is that the experience of being raped is that of losing control. Then blaming yourself takes control back,” said Dr. Lebowitz.
The attorney inquired about the negative impacts on Ms. Carroll.
“Decreased ability to feel good about herself and lack of an intimate romantic life that has led to deep feelings of loss. She blamed herself, she felt that she had been stupid,” Dr. Lebowitz responded.
