The suspect in the shooting that allegedly killed five, including an eight-year-old boy, remains at large nearly 48 hours after the tragedy.
The gunman, identified as Francisco Oropesa, 38, shot his neighbors with an AR-15-style rifle after they asked him to stop shooting in their yard because they were trying to sleep. The whereabouts of Mr. Oropesa, who is originally from Mexico, is considered armed and dangerous.
Sheriff Greg Capers told reporters that investigators have “zero leads” as the search has expanded with more than 200 law enforcement officers from various agencies continuing an extensive search of the rural area outside of Cleveland.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s office is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to Oropesa’s arrest. FBI Special Agent James Smith said his agency will also contribute $25,000 to that sum, while local police are offering an additional $5,000, bringing the total reward amount to $80,000.
The victim Sonia Argentina Guzmán has created a GoFundMe to raise funds so that the 25-year-old woman and the remains of her son can be repatriated to Honduras.

Texas authorities release possible motive for shooting
The shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Walters Road in the Trails End area of the community about 45 miles (72 kilometers) northeast of Houston. Night shift patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in reference to a harassment complaint.
