Prince William reveals the horrible gift he once gave Kate Middleton: “It didn’t go well”

She wanted some crown jewels, not a pair of binoculars.

In a recently resurfaced podcast interview, Prince William admitted to giving Middleton a gift he hated early on in their relationship, and it’s one he’ll never let her forget.

“I bought my wife a pair of binoculars once, she never let me forget that,” William said during a 2020 appearance on Peter Crouch’s podcast on BBC Radio Five Live.

“That was early on in the courtship that was, I think it sealed the deal.”

The couple, who recently celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary, have been together since their college days at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

However, since they’ve celebrated so many holidays together over the years, it’s unclear what special occasion this pair of binoculars marked.

“It didn’t go well,” the Prince continued about the failed gift to Middleton.
