Kevin Costner’s wife, Christine Baumgartner, has filed for divorce.
According to TMZ, the designer filed to end his 18-year marriage on Monday, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
In his filing, Baumgartner, 49, filed for joint custody of their three children: Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.
She, however, did not file for spousal support as TMZ reports that a prenuptial agreement is in place.
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have occurred that have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,” a rep for the 68-year-old “Bodyguard” actor confirmed to the outlet.
“We ask that you, Christine’s and her children’s privacy be respected as they go through this difficult time.”
Costner then responded to his estranged wife’s petition Tuesday by also requesting joint custody of the children.
Page Six reached out to Costner’s representative but did not immediately hear back.
Baumgartner and the “Yellowstone” star began dating in 1999, shortly after Costner split from Bridget Rooney, with whom he shares a son, Liam, 27.
After a brief breakup in 2003, the bag designer and Costner met the following year and were married in Aspen, Colorado.
They welcomed their eldest son, Cayden, in May 2007 and their second son, Hayes, in February 2009.
The following year, the couple welcomed their daughter, Grace.

The “Hidden Figures” star was previously married to Cindy Costner, however they separated in 2004.
They also share three children together: Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.
The break comes after The Post reported that “Yellowstone,” the show that “reinvigorated” his career and earned him a Golden Globe for his role as John Dutton, was canceled after five seasons due to Costner’s feud with creator Taylor Sheridan.
“It’s the same as with any showrunner and big star: there’s respect, but there’s friction,” a well-placed production source told The Post.
However, the production source said, “We hope it will be resolved. It’s too big a show for things not to be worked out.
“Hopefully Kevin will return for the remaining episodes if everyone works together, but it looks like ‘Yellowstone’ will end after this season.”
