She caused quite a stir.
“Don’t Worry Darling” star Florence Pugh arrived at the 2023 Met Gala with an ethereal presence and a shaved head.
His look paid homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic monochrome look, including a sleek black button-down suit with a tie.
Along with her silky white gown, complete with a wide train and tied with a dainty black bow, she sported a crown of feathers on her Valentino headpiece.
But her most talked about accessory wasn’t her fashion.
It was her hair, or lack thereof.
The “Midsommar” actress debuted her freshly shaved head, drawing attention to her halo of towering feathers and dramatic cat-eye makeup.
In an interview with The New York Times ahead of the gala on Monday night, the 27-year-old alluded to the wackiness of the number, calling it “big,” “but we like it big, right?” the daring star turned to Valentino’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.
“The point is that you’re expressing yourself with what you’re wearing,” he explained, adding that “it doesn’t matter if people don’t necessarily like it.
“I don’t think anything I do has to be 100% loved,” he continued. “That things are up for debate is good. It means that people are interested.”
But Twitter users were clearly fans of Miss Flo’s daring new look.
“I love his shaved head” wrote a user.
“Mom serving,” applauded another.
“She looks amazing,” congratulated someone else.
Last week, Pugh was photographed at the reopening of the Tiffany and Co. flagship store on 52nd Street.
She dazzled on the Tiffany Blue carpet in a sheer mint green gown and blonde lob with bangs.
