According to The Hollywood Reporter, production company Village Roadshow is pushing a remake of the film, with “The L Word: Generation Q” showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan co-writing the script with “Generation Q” staff writer. Allie Romano.
Elizabeth Banks, fresh off “Cocaine Bear,” is also producing with Max Handelman through their company, Brownstone Productions. Executive producers include Alison Small of Brownstone Productions, as well as Village Roadshow’s Jillian Apfelbaum, Tristen Tuckfield and Nic Gordon.
Things are still in the early days of the movie, so we don’t yet have any word on who will reprise the roles of Hunt or Parker, let alone the rest of the cast, which in the original film included Lee Montgomery, Jonathan Silverman, Ed Lauter and Shannen Doherty.
