Cardiff have confirmed that director of rugby union Dai Young will not attend Saturday’s Doomsday clash against the Ospreys at the Principality Stadium.
However, Cardiff will not comment on reports that Young, 55, has been suspended amid alleged complaints lodged against him by club staff.
The PA news agency understands that Young did not attend training on Friday.
Meanwhile, Cardiff say former Wasps boss Young will miss the Ospreys game due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
It’s a big commitment for both United Rugby Championship teams, with qualification for the Heineken Champions Cup at stake.
Cardiff currently top the Shield of Wales by four points from the Ospreys.
A point against their West Wales rivals would therefore secure them a place in next season’s European club competition.
